The Mad Doctor is a comedy with medical story that tells the public about the deficiency of medical resources in rural areas. The main character, Zi-xu Liu, is a surgeon who had trauma once and suffered PTSD , Post-traumatic stress disorder, therefore, she was unable to do the surgery again; so she was transferred to the countryside by the headquarters for her new position. Zi-xu was a talented surgeon whose ability and past experiences outweigh other doctors, but she was trying to avoid her trauma and start her new life at the suburban area. These shows combine all local elements; religion, foods, and the crave for power.

The Mad Doctor is drama shows with languages of Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese, these series present the current situation of medical issues in Taiwan, including disputes, vulnerable families, and the hard work of personnel. Zi-xu was stressful and full of sadness because of the job, after she changes all shit things at the town, she finally finds herself.
